110 Arrested Including 243 Weapons Recovery in 26 Days

243 weapons have been recovered in the last 26 days across the country in the ongoing operation of joint forces to recover illegal weapons. Along with this, 110 arrested so far.

This information was mentioned in a circular published by the police headquarters on Monday (September 30).

According to the notification, among the recovered weapons are- 13 revolvers, 67 pistols, 14 rifles, 31 shotguns, 6 pipe guns, 24 shooter guns, 25 LGs, 39 guns, 1 AK-47, 2 gas guns, 5 air guns, 7 SBBLs, 5 SMGs, 2 tear gas launchers and 2 three-quarters.

The joint forces started the operation to recover illegal weapons last September 4. Earlier, The police headquarters ordered the police to deposit the looted arms and ammunition by September 3. It was also informed that legal action will be taken against them if they do not submit within that time.

On September 3, a message sent from the police headquarters informed that 2,066 police weapons looted from various police stations in the country due to the anti-discrimination movement have not been recovered. It was also reported that 320,660 bullets, 8,905 tear shells, 2,576 sound grenades, and 751 tear gas grenades were not recovered.
