Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has stated that the interim government aims to build a Bangladesh where all communities enjoy equal rights.

He made this remark during an exchange of views at Dhakeshwari Temple on Saturday afternoon, following his visit to the temple.

"We want a society where festivals are not celebrated under the protection of military or police forces," Dr. Yunus said. "The goal is to create a Bangladesh where every citizen, regardless of community, has equal rights."

He urged everyone to work collectively to ensure that future festivals can be celebrated without the need for law enforcement.

Dr. Yunus also remarked that this year's Durga Puja celebration has been especially joyful, with people across the country participating in harmony. "Everyone has made sincere efforts to prevent any unfortunate incidents or distressing situations, both within and outside the government," he added.

He expressed his vision for building a nation that can make the world proud.

Earlier in the day, at 3 PM, Dr. Yunus visited the Dhakeshwari Puja Mandap to exchange greetings with the Hindu community on the occasion of Durga Puja. He was warmly welcomed with flowers, toured the mandap, and conversed with the temple priests to learn more about the rituals.

Following his visit, Dr. Yunus participated in a gathering with members of the Hindu community.

The Dhakeshwari Temple area was secured with tight security measures for the visit, with personnel from the Special Security Force (SSF) and other law enforcement agencies deployed. Strict entry controls were also enforced for the general public.
