Professor Dr Asif Nazrul, the law advisor to the interim government, said that numerous atrocities against the minority Muslim community are taking place in India. They have no hesitation or remorse about it.

India is expressing unnecessary concern over the situation of the Hindu community in Bangladesh. This duplicity of India is condemnable and objectionable.

He made this comment in a post on his Facebook page on Friday (November 29).

Citing a survey by Voice of America Bangla, the law advisor said that the majority of people in Bangladesh (64.1 percent) believe that the interim government can provide more security to the country's minority population than the previous Awami League government.

We have also seen for ourselves how the people of Bangladesh, including student organizations, madrasas, and political parties, worked for the security of minorities during the recent Durga Puja. Most recently, even after the brutal and provocative killing of lawyer Saiful Islam in Chattogram, Muslims in Bangladesh showed infinite restraint and patience.

The legal advisor further said, "Even then, India's undue concern over the situation in Bangladesh has not stopped. numerous atrocities against the minority Muslim community are committed in India. Yet they have no shame or remorse about it."
