Captain Tasmin Doza Becomes Biman's First Female Director

On October 14, 2024, Captain Tasmin Doza was appointed Director of Flight Operations, moving from her previous role as Chief of Training.

Captain Tasmin joined Biman in 1993 as a cadet pilot and became a first officer of advanced turboprop aircraft in 1996. Over the years, she piloted Airbus-310, F-28, Boeing 737, and Boeing 787 aircraft. She also led the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) team and served as a Flight Operations Inspector for the Civil Aviation Authority.

With instructional experience on the F-28 and Boeing 737, she also worked as a flight training instructor for the Boeing 787.

Captain Tasmin completed her schooling at Holy Cross School & College, Dhaka, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from BUET. She began her flight training in 1988 at the Bangladesh Flying Academy. Her advanced aviation certifications include training from British Aerospace, Miami, Garuda Indonesia, and Boeing Flight Services.

With 12,643 flying hours as pilot and co-pilot, and 3,000 hours as an instructor on F-28 and Boeing 737, Captain Tasmin brings vast experience to her new role.
