Bangladesh Police has officially introduced a new logo, replacing its previous design. Following the issuance of an official gazette, the new logo will be mandatory across all districts and units of the police force.
The announcement was made in a letter signed by Nasima Begum, Additional Deputy Inspector General (Logistics) at Police Headquarters, on Thursday (April 10).
The redesigned logo prominently features the national flower, the shapla (water lily), along with sheaves of rice and wheat and leaves of the jute plant. The word "Police" is boldly written above the jute leaf.
Nasima Begum noted that this change is part of an initiative to update the police monogram. The new design has already received official approval and is now awaiting formal notification through a gazette.
She added that once the gazette is issued, use of the new logo will be mandatory on all police uniforms, flags, signboards, and related materials. All units have been instructed to prepare for the transition accordingly.
