Students protesting for the re-publication of this year’s HSC and equivalent exam results, demanding corrections to related errors, were dispersed by members of the army and police at the Secretariat.

Initially, the police and army personnel requested the students to leave. However, when the students caused disruptions, both forces chased them off, forcing the students to flee.

This incident was observed on Wednesday (October 23) at the Secretariat.

Earlier, around 3 PM, more than a hundred students entered the Secretariat, demanding the cancellation and re-evaluation of the exam results. They gathered in front of Building No. 6, chanting various slogans.

In response, army personnel stationed at the Secretariat, along with law enforcement officers, attempted to negotiate with the students, urging them to halt the slogans and engage in peaceful dialogue. However, as the students refused to comply, the authorities resorted to dispersing them by force.

Speaking with the students afterward, they expressed their grievances, saying, “We want results based on equality. The board has unfairly awarded good results to some while giving lower scores to others, despite us writing well. We demand the results be canceled and re-evaluated promptly to address these injustices.”
