BNP Rally in the Capital This Afternoon
To mark the "National Revolution and Solidarity Day," the BNP will hold a colorful rally in the capital today. The rally is set to begin at 2:30 PM on Friday (November 8) in front of the party's central office in Naya Paltan. BNP's National Standing Committee members, senior leaders, city leaders, and leaders and activists from allied organizations will participate.
The party's Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, will inaugurate the rally in front of the Naya Paltan office, and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will deliver the closing speech virtually from London at Manik Mia Avenue, according to BNP's media cell.
In a statement issued by BNP on Thursday (November 7), it was announced that the procession will start from the central office in Naya Paltan and proceed through Kakrail, Matsya Bhaban, Engineering Institute, Shahbagh, Hotel Intercontinental, Banglamotor, Karwan Bazar, and Farmgate, ending at Manik Mia Avenue.
BNP Standing Committee member AZM Zahid Hossain stated that the rally would include not only BNP leaders and activists but also people from all sections of society, including supporters from surrounding districts of Dhaka.
It is worth noting that BNP has been observing November 7 as "National Revolution and Solidarity Day." The party has planned rallies not only in the capital but also in divisional cities to mark the day.
