No Chance For AL to Hold Meetings, Gatherings or Any Kind of Procession: Press Secretary
Awami League has called for a Protest March on Sunday (November 10) afternoon demanding the establishment of democratic rights. However, referring to the group as fascists, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam stated that there is no opportunity for them to hold meetings, gatherings, or any kind of processions in the country.
He posted this on his verified Facebook account at 12:08 pm on Saturday (November 9).
The press secretary wrote in the post, "Awami League is currently a fascist party. They have no chance to protest in Bangladesh. If anyone tries to hold meetings, gatherings, and processions under the orders of mass murderer and dictator Sheikh Hasina, the law and order forces will deal with it strictly.
Shafiqul Alam also warned that the interim government will not tolerate any kind of violence or attempts to break the law and order situation in the country.
On the occasion of 'Shaheed Noor Hossain Day', Awami League will hold the 'March to Zero Point' program at 3 pm on Sunday (November 10). This was posted on the verified Facebook page of Bangladesh Awami League at around 10:30 am on Saturday (November 9).
