Dr. Yunus Returns Home After High-Profile Davos Visit

After a four-day official visit, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, is returning to the country today from Switzerland. This information was confirmed by the Chief Adviser’s press wing.

According to reports, Dr. Yunus attended at least 47 events during the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) annual meeting and other high-level side events in Davos, Switzerland. During this time, he held meetings with heads of state and other prominent figures from various countries.

Earlier, on Monday, January 20, Dr. Yunus departed Dhaka for Davos. He arrived in Switzerland on Tuesday, January 21, at 5:20 PM Bangladesh time, where he was welcomed by Bangladesh’s Permanent Representative to Switzerland, Tareq Mohammad Ariful Islam.

From then on, the Chief Adviser had a very busy schedule, participating in nearly 50 events. These included four meetings with heads of government and state, four with ministers and other dignitaries, ten with heads or executives of UN or similar organizations, ten with CEOs and senior business leaders, nine WEF-organized events (including four formal dinners and luncheons), eight media engagements, and two other programs.
