Bishwa Ijtema Begins Tomorrow, Devotees Start Arriving
The 58th Bishwa Ijtema is set to begin tomorrow, Friday (January 31), on the banks of the Turag River in Tongi. The gathering will commence with the Aam Bayan (general sermon) after Fajr prayers. Participants include members of the Shura-e-Nizam Tabligh under the supervision of Islamic scholars (Ulama).
Devotees responsible for various sections and points have already started arriving at the Ijtema ground. Those who have reached the venue are settling into their designated sections.
This year, the Ijtema will take place in two phases under the guidance of the Ulama and Shura-e-Nizam. The first phase will begin on January 31 and conclude with the Akheri Munajat (final prayer) on February 2. The second phase will start on February 3 and end with the final prayer on February 5.
In the first phase, devotees from 41 districts, including Gazipur, Tongi, Dhamrai, Gaibandha, Mirpur, Kakrail, Natore, Moulvibazar, Rajshahi, Dohar, Demra, Narail, Thakurgaon, Lalmonirhat, Nawabganj, Nilphamari, Dinajpur, Rangpur, Bogura, Narayanganj, Barishal, Bhola, Chuadanga, Kushtia, Jashore, Magura, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Mymensingh, Chattogram, Netrokona, Sherpur, Faridpur, Habiganj, Sunamganj, Feni, Lakshmipur, Chandpur, Brahmanbaria, Khulna, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Jhenaidah, Chapainawabganj, Pirojpur, Kurigram, Panchagarh, and Rajbari, along with parts of Dhaka, will participate.
