Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said, people of the country will deliver their verdict for the ideals of independence. They will deliver verdict for the non-communal spirit.
He said these after paying homage to the martyred intellectuals at the shaheed intellectual memorial at Mirpur in the capital on Friday.
Obaidul Quader said, BNP is the bearer of communal forces. The communal evil forces will be defeated in the election of December 30. We believe, in this month of victory people will ensure victory through casting their votes for boat by defeating the communal forces.
He said, Bangladesh is divided at the moment. At one side there is communal course led by BNP. The communal, anti liberation, evil forces have got together under leadership of BNP. On the other side there is non-communal, humanitarian course led by daughter of Bangabandhu ‘Deshratna’ Sheikh Hasina.
The minister said, in this month of victory the countrymen will ensure victory of boat by rejecting the communal forces.
Obaidul Quader said, people of all walks of life who believe in the spirit of liberation war are remembering the intellectuals with due respect.
He said, just before two days of victory the Pakistani invaders in association with their local collaborators killed the intellectuals with an evil motive to make the country brainless.
