Liberation War Ministry Cancels Gazettes of 128 July Fighters

Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has cancelled the gazettes of 128 people from different parts across the country after discrepancies were found during verification of the lists published as injured participants in the July Uprising.

A notification in this regard was issued by the ministry on Wednesday.

During scrutiny, it was found that some of the 128 people were not injured, some had participated in the movement but were uninjured, and the names of others had been published in multiple gazettes.

Of the 128 people, 21 are from Mymensingh division, 27 from Sylhet, 39 from Chattogram, nine from Khulna, three from Rangpur, 14 from Dhaka, 13 from Rajshahi, and two from Barishal division.

Among them, the gazettes of 23 people have been cancelled due to ambiguity in the documents, while those of 105 others have been revoked as they were found not to be injured or not involved in the movement.
