The Election Commission (EC) released a revised schedule for the Pabna-1 and Pabna-2 constituencies for the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election 2026 and the Referendum, scheduled to be held on February 12.

This update follows a directive from the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court issued on Thursday (January 15).

According to a gazette notification signed by EC Secretariat Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed on Thursday night, the previous schedule for these two seats—originally dated December 11—has been canceled to comply with the court's order.

Under the fresh timeline, the deadline for submitting nomination papers to returning or assistant returning officers is January 18, with the scrutiny of these papers set for January 19.

Candidates wishing to appeal the decisions of returning officers can do so between January 20 and January 24, with all appeals to be resolved by January 25.

The final date for the withdrawal of candidature is January 26, and election symbols will be officially allotted on January 27.

The EC Secretariat confirmed that polling for both constituencies will take place on February 12 consistent with the national election date.

Voting will be conducted via paper ballots from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm using transparent ballot boxes.
