Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu has issued a stern directive to government officials, calling for absolute integrity, efficiency, and a strict adherence to constitutional duties.

Speaking at a high-level view-exchange meeting with divisional and district officials at the Rajshahi Circuit House on Friday, the Minister emphasized a culture of equality before the law.

“I am a son of the soil of Rajshahi. We are colleagues; none of us is anyone's boss,” he stated, reminding officials of their service-oriented mandate. “You are constitutionally entrusted with responsibilities—those duties must be carried out properly. Even if my own child violates the law, necessary action must be taken.”

The Minister warned that administrative negligence would no longer be tolerated, insisting that promotions and activities be governed by merit and competence.

With the holy month of Ramadan approaching, he specifically instructed officials to initiate special preparations to minimize public suffering. This includes coordinated market monitoring to prevent price hikes, maintaining law and order, and ensuring seamless public services.

Furthermore, the Land Minister reiterated the government’s "zero tolerance" stance against drugs and highlighted the 31-point development agenda spearheaded by Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.

"The Prime Minister is working eighteen hours a day for the country’s development," the Minister noted, adding that every department must now operate strictly within the constitutional framework where "the law will take its own course."

To accelerate rural and environmental development, the Minister called for the immediate implementation of canal excavation and tree plantation programs.

The meeting, chaired by Divisional Commissioner Dr ANM Bazlur Rashid, was attended by several high-ranking dignitaries, including local Members of Parliament and top police officials, who discussed field-level challenges and strategies to improve administrative transparency.
