Prime Minister Tarique Rahman struck a determined chord as he began his first working day of the week this Sunday, greeting officials outside his Gulshan residence with the spirited remark, "Let’s go to war."

While the phrase initially took staff by surprise, it was quickly understood as a figurative expression reflecting the Prime Minister’s resolve to confront the nation's ongoing challenges and the rigorous demands of governance.

Following his departure at 8:42 am, the Prime Minister arrived at the Secretariat around 9:30 am to lead a demanding schedule.

His itinerary includes high-level deliberations with key officials, including Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon, Education Adviser Mahdi Amin, and Bangladesh Investment Board Executive Chairman Ashik Chowdhury.

The remark underscores a shift toward a high-intensity work culture as the new administration intensifies its focus on policy implementation and national development.

Personal staff and security teams, who have observed the Prime Minister’s recent commitment to working through weekends and holidays, noted that this attitude is consistent with his broader strategy to address urgent economic and administrative reforms in the country.
