Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to inaugurate a new government initiative tomorrow (Saturday) aimed at providing monthly honorariums to religious leaders across various faiths.

The formal launch ceremony is set to take place at 10 am at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital, according to an official statement released by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

This welfare program is designed to provide financial recognition and support to a diverse range of spiritual leaders.

The beneficiaries will include imams, muezzins, and khadems of mosques; priests and sebaits serving in temples; principals and vice-principals of Buddhist monasteries and priests and assistant priests representing churches.

The Prime Minister will officially initiate the disbursement process during the inaugural event, marking a significant step in the government's commitment to supporting those who provide religious and community leadership across the country.
