The capital is set to host the nation’s primary Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at the National Eidgah tomorrow at 8:30 am.

As the country prepares to celebrate its largest religious festival, authorities have finalized the schedules for major prayer gatherings across the city, including five consecutive sessions at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, the Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, will lead the main prayers at the National Eidgah.

In the event of his absence, Dr. Maulana Md. Abu Saleh Patwari, a Mufassir for the Islamic Foundation, has been designated as the alternate imam.

For the convenience of the city's vast population, the Islamic Foundation announced that Baitul Mukarram National Mosque will hold five separate congregations to accommodate devotees throughout the morning:

Maulana Shahidul Islam, Assistant Librarian of the Islamic Foundation, will remain on standby as an alternate imam for these sessions.

In addition to these central venues, significant Eid congregations will be held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, the Dhaka University Central Mosque, and numerous other mosques and Eidgahs throughout the capital.

Law enforcement and city authorities have made extensive arrangements to ensure the security and smooth participation of devotees at all venues.
