The first Hajj flight from Bangladesh, carrying 418 pilgrims, arrived safely at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the early hours of Saturday (local time).

The Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight, BG 3001, touched down at 4:20 am local time, according to a press release from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Upon arrival, the pilgrims were warmly received by the Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Md Delwar Hossain, and Councilor (Hajj) Md Kamrul Islam.

As a gesture of hospitality, the arriving devotees were greeted with flowers and provided with refreshment kits.

Other high-ranking officials, including the Consul General of the Bangladesh Consulate in Jeddah, Md Sakhawat Hossain, and Assistant Seasonal Hajj Officer Md Ruhul Amin, were also present at the terminal to facilitate the arrival process.

This successful landing follows the formal inauguration of Hajj Flight 2026 by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, who saw off the pilgrims at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:30 pm on Friday night.
