Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sent special gifts to a child and his mother who stood by the roadside to welcome him with a flower during his visit to Jashore last Monday.

The gesture followed a heartwarming incident near the Jashore Institute. As the Prime Minister’s convoy—bearing the slogan 'Sobar Agee Bangladesh'—passed the area, he noticed a mother, Nilima, standing with her child in her arms.

The child was holding a single flower to greet the premier.

PM Vows to Ensure Equal Rights Regardless of Religion and Caste

In a move that has since gone viral on social media and across various news platforms, Tarique Rahman, who also serves as the Chief Patron of ‘Amra BNP Poribar’, ordered his vehicle to stop.

He personally stepped out of the convoy to meet the child and his mother, an unprecedented moment that drew widespread praise from the public.

Following the encounter, the Prime Minister instructed his Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Ruman, to arrange for gifts to be delivered to the family.

In fulfillment of that directive, a delegation from ‘Amra BNP Poribar’, led by Member Secretary Agriculturist Md. Moksedul Momin Mithun, visited Nilima’s residence in Jashore this afternoon.

The team handed over the gifts on behalf of the Prime Minister.

The delegation also included ‘Amra BNP Poribar’ member Masud Rana Liton and Jashore District Swechchhasebak Dal Member Secretary Rajidur Rahman Sagar.
