Prime Minister’s Information and Broadcasting Adviser Zahed Ur Rahman said on Tuesday that the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) will undergo a complete transformation and is highly likely to be renamed.

“In a sense, RAB will no longer be the same and the name is likely to change,” he stated during a press briefing held at the Secretariat.

The announcement came during a briefing organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, where Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon presented a comprehensive overview of the government’s activities and achievements over its first three months in office.

Principal Information Officer Syed Abdal Ahmed was also present at the event.
