Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Wedneday extended his heartfelt greetings to the citizens of Bangladesh and Muslims across the globe on the auspicious occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.

In a formal message issued on Wednesday, the Prime Minister highlighted that Eid-ul-Azha carries a profound message of sacrifice, piety, self-purification, and devotion to Almighty Allah, which serves as a reminder to all believers of the highest ideals of faith.

He noted that this holy festival returns each year to bring renewed inspiration for spiritual upliftment and to encourage complete submission to the will of the Creator.

Expressing his warm wishes, the Prime Minister stated, “I extend my heartfelt Eid Mubarak to the people of Bangladesh and Muslims across the world on this auspicious occasion. I also convey Eid greetings to the global community.”

He observed that Muslims in Bangladesh and throughout the world are prepared to celebrate the festival in a true spirit of devotion and sacrifice.

The festival, he emphasized, is not merely a celebration of joy, but remains a timeless expression of deep faith, sacrifice, and self-surrender to Almighty Allah.

Further elaborating on the core significance of the occasion, the Prime Minister mentioned that the unwavering faith, unconditional obedience, and supreme sacrifice demonstrated by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) in submission to the command of Almighty Allah are what make this day deeply meaningful for the entire Muslim Ummah.

Concluding his message, the Prime Minister offered prayers to Almighty Allah to accept the sacrifices of the faithful devotees. He prayed for the peace, security, and stability of the motherland, the Muslim world, and all of humanity, while also wishing for global peace, harmony, and security.

He added, “May this holy Eid-ul-Azha be filled with the spirit of sacrifice. May Allah accept our Qurbani and prayers and bless us with peace and prosperity through His infinite mercy.”
