Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended his sincere thanks to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sending warm Eid-ul-Azha greetings to him and the people of Bangladesh.

In a formal response posted on the official Facebook page of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Tarique Rahman expressed his gratitude for the goodwill message.

“I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his very kind greetings to me and the people of Bangladesh on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Azha,” the Premier stated.

Emphasizing the diplomatic ties and neighborhood relationship between the two nations, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman added:

“May the relations between the peoples of Bangladesh and India continue to be strengthened on the foundations of mutual respect, friendship and goodwill.”

Earlier, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reached out to Tarique Rahman and the citizens of Bangladesh with warm festive wishes, noting that the shared vision of the two neighboring countries—as mirrored in their respective national development goals—is strategically aimed at the mutual benefit of their peoples.

In the letter dispatched to the Bangladesh Premier on the occasion, the Indian leader conveyed a strong commitment to bilateral progression, stating, “The Government of India looks forward to working closely with the Government of Bangladesh to strengthen people-centric cooperation in various domains.”
