Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday visited various parts of the capital to personally inspect the progress of sacrificial waste removal operations following the celebration of Eid-ul-Azha.

Providing details of the visit, the Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary, Jahidul Islam Rony, stated that Tarique Rahman stepped out around 4 pm and personally drove himself through different routes across the city.

The purpose of the drive was to directly observe whether the sacrificial waste removal activities were being properly executed by the city authorities.

According to Rony, the Prime Minister commenced his inspection from his official residence on Gulshan Avenue. He then traveled through Gulshan-1, Hatirjheel, Rampura Road, and Malibagh via the Abul Hotel area, before heading toward Basabo through the Taltala Market route.

The deputy press secretary added that Tarique Rahman’s extensive inspection route further included the Kamalapur Stadium, Sayedabad bus terminal, Jatrabari intersection, Dholai Khal, Shaheed Faruk Road, Dayaganj Road, Narinda, and the Ray Saheb Bazar intersection.

Continuing his drive through old and central parts of the capital, the Prime Minister also traveled through Court Road, Naya Bazar, Bangshal Road, Gulistan, Shahbagh, Elephant Road, and the Dhaka University area, before moving toward New Market and the Science Laboratory intersection.

From there, the Prime Minister navigated through Kalabagan, Mirpur Road, the City College area, Shimanto Square, the Jigatala bus stand, and Road-27, before finally traveling along Manik Mia Avenue and the Mohakhali area to conclude his city-wide inspection.
