India has provided its perspective following the controversy surrounding the alleged harassment of Prime Minister’s Information Adviser Zahed Ur Rahman at Delhi Airport.

Randhir Jaiswal, the spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, claimed that Zahed Ur Rahman was traveling to India using his private passport.

Zahed Ur Rahman had recently traveled to Delhi to participate in a conference, where he faced significant hurdles at immigration.

After being held at Delhi Airport for an extended period, he ultimately returned to Dhaka.

The incident sparked widespread criticism, leading the Bangladeshi government to summon the Indian envoy to lodge a formal protest.

Following the ensuing debate, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has officially clarified its position on the matter.

Randhir Jaiswal stated that Zahed Ur Rahman arrived in Delhi carrying his personal private passport and held a SAARC visa.

He added that upon being questioned by immigration officials and learning that he was visiting to attend a conference, he was granted permission to enter the country.
