Prime Minister Tarique Rahman called upon the nation’s students on Saturday to dedicate themselves to academic and personal development, urging them to prepare for their roles as the future leaders responsible for building a developed and prosperous Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister made these remarks while hosting a luncheon for a group of students, teachers, and visitors who were invited to observe the parliamentary session at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

According to the PM’s Deputy Press Secretary, Jahidul Islam Rony, the event provided an opportunity for the Prime Minister to engage directly with the youth.

The attendees included 29 law students from the Canadian University of Bangladesh, 21 individuals—including underprivileged students—associated with Surabhi, a partner organization of the Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE), and 16 members of the Tejgaon College Debating Society alongside their teachers.

During the luncheon, held at the VIP Cafeteria of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, the Prime Minister interacted with the students, inquiring about their educational progress and discussing a variety of topics.

He emphasized the importance of a well-rounded education, stating that students must prioritize sports alongside their academic pursuits to develop into capable, skilled, and responsible citizens.

The participating students and teachers expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister for the unique opportunity to participate in the luncheon and gain firsthand insight into the legislative process.

As part of their visit to the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, the students were given a comprehensive tour that included learning about the operational activities of the Parliament Secretariat and visiting the Parliament Library.

They also took part in a photo session at the North Plaza and observed active parliamentary proceedings from the visitors' gallery within the parliamentary chamber.
