Peter Holland, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), on Monday met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to discuss practical ways to strengthen cooperation in improving eye care services across Bangladesh.

According to the Prime Minister's Press Wing, the meeting was held at the Cabinet Division in the Bangladesh Secretariat at around 11:30 am.

During the high-level discussion, the two sides focused extensively on the overall development of eye care services in Bangladesh, the prevention of blindness, the reduction of visual impairment and strategies for enhancing long-term international cooperation in the healthcare sector.

State Minister for Health Dr M A Muhith was also present at the meeting to facilitate the bilateral talks.
