Sarwar Alamgir Takes Oath as MP

Newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad Sarowar Alamgir on Thursday took oath at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban as Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended the ceremony.

Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad administered the oath at the Speaker's office in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 7:15 pm.

The oath-taking ceremony was conducted by Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Secretary Barrister Md Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, said Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Md Suzauddhowla.

Following the oath-taking ceremony, the newly elected MP signed the oath register in the office of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretary in line with parliamentary tradition.

LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, JS deputy speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, other whips, MPs and senior officials of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat were present at the ceremony.
