Prime Minister and Leader of the House Tarique Rahman participated in a high-level meeting on Monday focused on modernizing the sound infrastructure of the Jatiya Sangsad, as officials reviewed cutting-edge technical options to replace the current setup.

The session took place at the Cabinet Room of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with Acting Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal presiding, according to an official statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Press Wing.

Key attendees included Opposition Leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher, Law Minister Md. Asaduzzaman, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni, Opposition Chief Whip Nahid Islam, alongside relevant senior officials.

During the proceedings, participants reviewed a comprehensive presentation detailing various state-of-the-art acoustic systems deployed globally to evaluate suitable alternatives for the national parliament.

The Public Works Department outlined potential technological solutions, operational capabilities, and an execution framework for the proposed upgrade, while highlighting technical specifications, operational features, and full integration capabilities with daily parliamentary sessions.
