Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen on Thursday affirmed Beijing's willingness to strengthen cooperative ties with all political entities in Bangladesh.

The Ambassador made the statement following a meeting with representatives from the newly formed Sub-Committee for International Relations of the National Citizen Party (NCP) at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

According to a press statement released by the embassy, both delegations held discussions covering bilateral relations, inter-party engagements, and youth-centric cooperation alongside broader matters of mutual interest.

Ambassador Yao offered congratulations to the NCP on founding its Sub-Committee for International Relations, noting his expectation that the body will play a constructive role in furthering friendly dialogues between both nations and their respective political parties.

NCP Spokesperson and Chairman of the Sub-Committee for International Relations, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, expressed the party's readiness to collaborate with China.

He emphasized that the NCP aims to deepen inter-party connections and youth engagement to advance Bangladesh-China relations.

Party representatives noted that the dialogue unfolded in a warm and constructive environment, with both sides highlighting the role of diplomatic channels, mutual respect, and shared development initiatives in preserving regional stability.

The visiting NCP delegation also featured International Cell In Charge Alauddin Mohammad, East Asia Desk Lead Mahbub Alam, EU Desk Lead Navid Nowraz Shah, and Joint Chief Coordinator Monjila Jhuma.
