Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae extended her congratulations to President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir upon his assumption of the presidency, delivering the message via an official correspondence.

"On behalf of the government and people of Japan, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on your assumption of office as the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh," the communication stated.

The letter also emphasized that Japan and Bangladesh have fostered a solid partnership ever since Bangladesh gained its independence in 1971, with Tokyo consistently backing the country's national development as a dependable ally.
