PM Hands Over Cheques to 28 Mosques and 10 Temples at Gulshan Office

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman disbursed financial grants on Friday to support diverse houses of worship across the Dhaka-17 electoral district, encompassing mosques, madrasas and temples.

The head of government distributed the allocation checks to authorized delegates representing the designated mosques and temples during an afternoon event hosted at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan political office.

A cumulative count of 28 mosques situated within Dhaka-17 each received BDT 247,000, while 10 temples were granted BDT 300,000 apiece, bringing the combined financial distribution to BDT 30 lakh ahead of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja festivities.

The monetary support was allocated to bolster the operational requirements of these religious establishments and to facilitate well-organized preparations for the celebrations surrounding Durga Puja.
