Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called for the cooperation of people across the country to prevent dengue and keep the nation clean.
He made this appeal on Saturday morning (September 12) while inaugurating the nationwide dengue prevention and cleanliness campaign at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad.
The Prime Minister stated that everyone must work together to bring about change in the country. If everyone strives to build the nation collectively, no obstacle can hold them back.
Maximum efforts will be made over the next three months to tackle the dengue issue. While a 100 percent solution may not be possible, effective initiatives will be taken to bring the situation under control.
He said, "Let us keep ourselves healthy, let us keep our society healthy. If everyone dedicates one hour every week to cleanliness, a change in the situation is certain."
He further added, "On August 5, 2024, the people of the country showed that change is possible. Now, let us transform the state."
Before attending the event, the Prime Minister inspected various stalls and shook hands with citizens.
The nationwide three-month dengue prevention and cleanliness campaign runs from September 12 to December 12.
