Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks on Friday (Local Time) to explore avenues for consolidating the friendly and mutually advantageous ties between Bangladesh and the UAE.

The bilateral engagement took place at the UAE Mission in New York on Friday afternoon on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Throughout the discussion, both leaders deliberated on bilateral cooperation, trade and investment, economic partnership, manpower, alongside regional and global matters of shared concern.

The prime minister stressed the importance of broadening and enhancing the efficacy of the established relationship between Bangladesh and the UAE, prioritizing fields of shared interest and mutual benefit.

Both delegations reaffirmed their intention to boost future collaboration across various sectors of common interest and further cement the multifaceted partnership between the two friendly nations.
