United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on Friday (Local Time).

Prime Minister's Assistant Press Secretary K M Nazmul Haque confirmed that the discussion took place at the Hotel Grand Hyatt in New York on Friday afternoon.

He added that the talks encompassed issues of mutual interest, with both sides exchanging perspectives on human rights matters and other areas of shared concern.
