United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Alhmoudi met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday afternoon, with bilateral talks centering on the expansion of trade and investment between the two nations.

Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Mostafa Zulfiquar Hasan (Hasan Shiplu) confirmed that the meeting transpired at the Secretariat during the noon hours.

Hasan Shiplu noted that the discussions focused on broadening trade and investment ties, creating enhanced employment opportunities for skilled Bangladeshi professionals and deepening bilateral cooperation across key economic sectors, including energy, infrastructure, aviation, information technology, railways, and logistics.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun were present during the engagement, while senior diplomats and officials from the UAE Embassy accompanied the ambassador.
