The Consulate General of Bangladesh in Los Angeles hosted the Bangladesh–Silicon Valley Technology Dialogue at Cedar Hall, Stanford University, convening prominent researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and members of the Bangladeshi diaspora under the theme “Technology, Talent and Partnerships for Bangladesh’s Future.”

A special government delegation met with tech professionals to forge strategic collaborations in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, education, and economic planning.

Consul General Kazi Muhammad Jabed Iqbal opened proceedings, followed by remarks from Tareq Md Ariful Islam, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United States.

Talent and Capital Panel: Moderated by UC Davis Professor Dr. Saif Islam, a high-level panel explored workforce expansion and investment alongside Adviser Rehan Asif Asad and industry veterans from Credo Semiconductor, Exo, Intel, Medtronic, UlkaSemi, and CloudAEye.

Strategic Policy Goals:

• State Minister Shama Obaed Islam stressed science and technology diplomacy to drive technology transfer and strengthen ties with the U.S. innovation ecosystem.

• Adviser Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir concluded by outlining plans to align fiscal policy and public institutions to support tech-led industries and improve public services.
