Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday directed Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) reserved seat Member of Parliament Ferdousy Ahmed Mishti to tender her resignation.

The directive was formally disclosed at noon by Deputy Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mostafa Zulfiquar Hasan (Hasan Shiplu).

This administrative development follows the demolition of the Radda MCH-FP Centre, a key maternal and child healthcare facility situated in Mirpur, Dhaka, which took place last Thursday.

The healthcare establishment was targeted in a midnight assault involving widespread attack, vandalism, and looting, amid rising allegations implicating leaders and grassroots activists of the ruling party across various organizational tiers.
