
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday published a photograph featuring himself alongside his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and United States President Donald Trump, taken during an official dinner hosted by the American head of state for international leaders attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Prime Minister shared the image on his verified Facebook page following its official release by the White House, capturing Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Dr. Zubaida Rahman standing with President Trump.
President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the high-profile dinner on the evening of September 22 at the luxury Lotte New York Palace hotel in New York City, extending invitations to heads of state, heads of government, and their spouses representing UN member nations.
The dinner reception was organized to honor world dignitaries who had assembled in New York to participate in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Dr. Zubaida Rahman attended the gathering alongside fellow global leaders and their partners.
Prior to the evening gala, the Prime Minister and Dr. Zubaida Rahman joined a morning breakfast hosted by UN Secretary-General António Guterres for visiting heads of state, government leaders, and their spouses.
In a separate disclosure, the White House released another official photograph highlighting Dr. Zubaida Rahman alongside US First Lady Melania Trump taken during an exclusive convention of first ladies in New York.
Held on the sidelines of the 81st UNGA session, the event convened the spouses of national leadership from around the world.
During the session, Melania Trump formally launched her global initiative for child welfare, titled "Fostering the Future Together," encouraging first ladies across nations to unite in support of the program.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman traveled to New York on September 21, heading a 35-member official delegation to attend the UNGA, where he delivered his inaugural address as Prime Minister during the General Debate on September 24.
He arrived back in Dhaka on the morning of September 27 upon completing his five-day official tour to the United States.
