The Election Commission (EC) is set to hold a meeting with ambassadors and representatives from 18 development partner countries, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The meeting will take place on Tuesday (February 11) at the Election Commission building in Agargaon, Dhaka.
According to the EC, the meeting will be held at 11 AM in the conference room of the EC Secretariat. Chief Election Commissioner A M M Nasir Uddin will preside over the meeting, with the participation of four other election commissioners and the EC secretary.
EC Additional Secretary K M Ali Newaz stated that the meeting will be a joint discussion with the ambassadors and representatives from 18 countries. He emphasized that the EC wants to maintain transparency and will present its ongoing preparations for the upcoming national elections.
Ambassadors from Italy, Spain, Germany, Norway, Sweden, South Korea, and Turkey are expected to attend. Additionally, representatives from the Japanese Embassy (2), Swiss Embassy (2), British High Commission, Canadian High Commission, Australian High Commission, Chinese Embassy, Dutch Embassy, and French Embassy will also be present.
