Bangladesh experienced an exceptional year-on-year growth of 64.7% in remittance inflows, reaching a record $3.29 billion in March, the highest monthly remittance ever recorded in the country's history.
This marked a significant increase from the $1.99 billion received in March of the previous year, as per data from Bangladesh Bank (BB).
In February of this year, remittances totaled $2.53 billion, ranking as the fourth-highest monthly inflow at that time. Before March, the highest monthly inflow was recorded in December of last year, at $2.64 billion.
From July 2024 to March 2025 of the current fiscal year, Bangladesh received a total of $21.78 billion in remittances, compared to $17.08 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
