Chief Advisor's Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, stated that "those who were beneficiaries of the Awami League are spreading confusion about the election."
He made the comments this morning at a view-exchange meeting with district journalists in the conference room of the Netrokona Circuit House.
The Press Secretary reiterated that "the election will be held in the first week of February." He added that the government is working relentlessly to ensure democratic values and participatory politics.
Mr. Alam highlighted that the media, as the "fourth pillar of the state," plays a vital role in delivering accurate and positive messages about the government's activities to the public. Therefore, he stressed the need to strengthen mutual trust and understanding between the government and the media.
The Press Secretary further noted that "responsible and constructive journalism can bring positive change to society." He described the media as a key partner in the government's development efforts.
Journalists from the district's print and electronic media participated in the meeting. They raised local issues, potential opportunities, and professional challenges, offering various suggestions to enhance the quality of journalism.
