
Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus presided over a high-level security meeting to review the country’s overall law and order situation. The session, held Sunday (December 21) at the state guest house Jamuna, was officially detailed in a message from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing on Monday morning.
The meeting was attended by Home Affairs Adviser Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, National Security Adviser Dr. Khalilur Rahman, and top officials from various security and law enforcement agencies.

The discussions covered a wide range of current events and upcoming security requirements, including:
Crackdown on Recent Violence
Police officials informed the Chief Adviser that 31 suspects have been identified through video footage in connection with recent attacks on the offices of two national dailies and two cultural organizations.
By Monday morning, raids across Dhaka and other regions resulted in the arrest of six suspects:
Operations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining identified suspects. Additionally, authorities have identified three individuals from video footage who attempted to create unrest near the residence of the Indian Assistant High Commissioner in Chattogram.
Strict Directives from Dr. Yunus
Dr. Yunus issued a firm directive to law enforcement to expedite the arrest of those involved in the Osman Hadi murder and other illegal activities. He emphasized the necessity of stability as the country prepares for the democratic process.
"Law and order must be maintained at all costs ahead of the upcoming national elections," the Chief Adviser stated during the meeting.
