Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus stated that the current interim government has been working sincerely to ensure economic stability and achieve desired growth since taking office.

He noted that the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) can serve as a vital catalyst in reaching these goals.

The Chief Advisor made these remarks in a message issued on Wednesday (December 31) to mark the commencement of the "Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2026."

A Catalyst for Economic Expansion

Dr. Yunus expressed firm optimism that the fair would expand national economic activities, generate employment, and boost the export of Bangladeshi products abroad.

"In addition to promoting local products and product diversification, this fair will play a significant role in the overall development of the country by attracting foreign investment," he added.

The Chief Advisor emphasized that the DITF is instrumental in expanding Bangladesh's export trade. He noted that the month-long event effectively showcases high-quality, locally produced goods to domestic and foreign visitors, consumers, buyers, and importers.

Bridging Local and Global Markets

Dr. Yunus highlighted that the fair provides a platform for local entrepreneurs and consumers to gain a clear understanding of international product quality, design, and global trends.

"I hope that all participating countries and organizations will work on the basis of mutual cooperation and partnership," he said. "With everyone's effective participation, this fair will become beautiful, buyer-friendly, and festive."

Extending his warm greetings and congratulations to the domestic and foreign industrial entrepreneurs, investors, businessmen, and buyers participating in the fair, the Chief Advisor described the event as a unique arrangement to showcase Bangladesh's immense potential on the world stage.

He concluded his message by wishing for the overall success of the Dhaka International Trade Fair-2026.
