Dr. Kamal Hossain, the leading architect of the Bangladesh Constitution and founder of Gono Forum, has been admitted to the hospital following a serious decline in his health.

The veteran politician and eminent jurist was admitted to Square Hospital in the capital on Friday (January 2).

Condition Currently Stable

Dr. Kamal’s daughter, Barrister Sara Hossain, informed the media that her father is currently receiving treatment in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) for various physical complications.

"My father's condition is currently stable," Sara Hossain stated, while requesting the nation to pray for his quick recovery.

Recent Public Appearance

Despite his age and lingering health issues, Dr. Kamal has remained active in national events. Most recently, he attended the funeral prayers (Janaza) of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia at Manik Mia Avenue last Wednesday.

Reports suggest that his physical condition began to deteriorate shortly after attending the service, leading to his emergency hospitalization on Friday.
