The swearing-in ceremony for newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) and the new Cabinet is set to take place this Monday (February 16), marking the beginning of a new chapter for democratic Bangladesh.

The newly elected MPs will take their oaths on Monday morning, administered by the Chief Election Commissioner. Preparations for the ceremony are already well underway.

Following the parliamentary swearing-in, members of the new Cabinet will arrive at Bangabhaban in the evening at the invitation of the President.

At 7:00 PM, the President will administer the oath of office to the new Cabinet members during a grand ceremony held at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban.

Security measures have been significantly tightened around the Bangabhaban area in anticipation of the event.

Eyes on the New Cabinet
Following the landslide victory of the BNP-led alliance, there is intense nationwide anticipation regarding the composition of the new administration.

With the Cabinet set to be formed under the leadership of Tarique Rahman, observers are keen to see the balance between veteran politicians and the number of fresh faces and youth representatives included in the lineup.
