The newly elected members of the 13th National Parliament are set to take their oath of office today, Tuesday (February 17), at 10:00 AM.
The ceremony will held in the Oath Room of the Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat, attended by over a thousand domestic and foreign guests.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A.M.M. Nasir Uddin will administer the oath to the lawmakers.

According to a letter issued Monday evening by the Election Commission Secretariat, the CEC will swear in not only the newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) but also the members of the Constitutional Reform Council.

Security and Coordination
To ensure the smooth conduct of the high-profile event, the Election Commission has coordinated with the top brass of the administration, including the Cabinet Secretary, the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), and heads of the BGB, RAB, and Coast Guard.
The oath-taking of the MPs will be followed by a separate ceremony at 4:00 PM at the South Plaza of the Parliament, where the new Cabinet—led by the majority party—is expected to be sworn in by the President.
