Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has asserted that proper justice will be delivered for the Pilkhana massacre.
He made these remarks on Wednesday (February 25) after attending a ceremony at the Banani Military Graveyard to mark National Shahid Sena Dibas (National Army Martyr Day).

"Today, we observed National Army Martyr Day with full state honors. The President and the Prime Minister were present, along with the families of the martyrs," said Salahuddin Ahmed. "Those who gave their lives to protect the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh remain eternally young and luminous in our history."
Investigation and Reports
The Home Minister described the Pilkhana massacre as one of the most brutal killings not only in Bangladesh but in the entire world. He noted that although the government at the time formed an inquiry committee to uncover the underlying motives, the results were never published.
He further mentioned:
A National Commission was formed during the tenure of the interim government, and its report has been submitted.
The previous administration took little initiative to implement the commission's findings.
Commitment to Legal Process
Minister Ahmed clarified that the current government does not intend to form a new investigation commission, as the one established by the interim government consisted of competent individuals.
Addressing the families of the victims, he promised that justice would be served to prevent such tragedies in the future. He concluded by saying that the massacre was an attempt to weaken the army, carried out by those who do not believe in the country's independence and sovereignty.
