He issued these guidelines during a conference addressing the dengue scenario and protocols to combat the contagion convened at the Bangladesh Secretariat, as conveyed by Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplu.

The Prime Minister underscored the necessity of broader public participation in dengue mitigation rather than depending exclusively upon state apparatuses.

He appealed for heightening awareness regarding the maintenance of clean residential interiors and exterior perimeters, clearing stagnant water pools and refuse, and eradicating mosquito breeding habitats.

PM Tarique Rahman additionally directed officials to mobilize disaster management volunteers, the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC), Rover Scouts, and Red Crescent volunteers within sanitation and outreach operations.

He accentuated the execution of grassroots cleanliness campaigns by engaging communities through the agency of these volunteers.
