Bangladesh and India Discuss Rail, Shipping and Connectivity to Boost Bilateral Ties

Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi held a bilateral meeting with Bangladesh's Minister of Shipping, Railways, Road Transport and Bridges Shaikh Rabiul Alam on Tuesday.

The high-level discussion at the ministry also saw the participation of State Minister for Road, Highways and Railways Habibur Rashid.

During the talks, the dignitaries reviewed a broad spectrum of mutual interests centered on railways, maritime shipping, regional connectivity and ongoing bilateral development initiatives.

Both sides emphasized that enhancing transit corridors and infrastructure links between India and Bangladesh remains fundamental to accelerating economic integration and fostering deeper people-to-people relations.
