Bangladesh and Australia engaged in diplomatic deliberations on Tuesday, reviewing a broad spectrum of bilateral and multilateral domains encompassing commercial exchanges, capital investments, energy partnerships, workforce migration, alongside regional and global affairs.

Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle, during a formal courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir at his ministry office, reiterated Canberra's steadfast commitment to assisting Bangladesh with vocational education development and public health initiatives.

The envoy assured that Australia will consistently stand alongside Bangladesh in addressing and resolving the protracted Rohingya crisis.

Furthermore, she highlighted that both nations maintain close collaborative ties within the United Nations and across other global multilateral platforms, according to a formal statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

State Minister Humaiun urged for enhanced institutional partnerships between Australian TAFE (Technical and Further Education) institutions and Bangladesh's domestic Technical Training Centers (TTCs), alongside specialized training frameworks for Bangladeshi caregiving personnel.

He commended Australia's enduring assistance in mitigating the Rohingya humanitarian emergency, expressing optimism that both countries will maintain close coordination toward achieving a permanent resolution for the crisis.
